  A month prior the second move ( storage to our house) my wife called a month in advance. Two weeks later she decided to call again to be sure everything is in order for the date, lucky us the person she talked on the phone didn't ask for a deposit so our reservation was not book.

  Went with this company because they are big, and supposedly professional. Big mistake. Estimate was for packing a large house, and moving to a 2 BDR condo with a dedicated elevator for the movers. Estimate for the move part was 7 hours with 3 men. It took them 12 hours with 4 men, all at my cost.

  Saw the movers at this company throw garbage straight out the window of their cab on to the street: I looked up at them to express disgust as littering is fairly avoidable, they looked back and laughed. Obviously these guys don't care, I would never hire them for a job.

  Worst part was that the runners they put down in my new condo did not cover all of the hardwood. Of course the movers walked on the hardwood floors and trekked some dirt on it that does not come off with floor cleaner. Talking to their customer support is like watching grass grow. After a month of back and forth one of their directors said that they were not going to take care of my dirt problem.

  Truly a bad company to deal with, and I would never recommend them, or trust them to honour their statements. BEWARE AND RUN AWAY FROM THEM AT ALL COSTS.

  My parents hired this company for their move. They had a 5 1/2 prior to their move, and went to a 5 1/2 condo. They used storage for a month. They only had boxes and standard furniture ( no fridge, no washer/dryer, no living room furniture, no stove...) La Capitale charged them 3000$ to move their furniture to storage, and another 3000$ to move back from storage to the new condo, for a total of 6000$. They took advantage of older people who were too afraid to ask questions when they received their invoice and simply paid it. In their invoice, there was a 600$ plus tax charge for the leasing of the covers, and a 1000$ surcharge for glass armoires.They also broke 2 glass tables (and noted it in their 2nd invoice), but have not yet compensated us for it or even had their insurance contact us. I have been fighting with them for a month, and have succeeded in them admitting there was a surcharge by mistake of 500$ in the first move. I am still waiting on their credit, and for their review of charges of the second move from storage. Also still waiting for insurance compensation. Their customer service is atrocious, and they are arrogant in their communications. They will try to drag this situation until I give up, which will not happen. I plan on bringing them to small claims immediately. If you hire them, be prepared to pay a lot more than you should. BAD AND DISHONEST COMPANY. STAY AWAY!!!!!

  We used La capitale to move our furniture and for storing while our house is getting ready. During the first move, one of their worker was coming out of the hospital for leg/back problem and couldn't come up the stairs( our condo was on the 3r floor).

  I had selected this company based on its big exposure and it made me feel that the service should be good. My previous experiences were always with Diplomat and they were good. I should have staid with them ! La Capitale never sent any email communication despite the fact that I kept calling them asking for a confirmation (I booked over a month in advance). On the day of the move, a big truck shows up and it's not them, they subcontract to others...! The "team" consisted in an old driver who cannot lift anything, one half asleep guy and another who never stops talking and complaining... that's it... to move a 7 1/2. It took them forever to load the truck and then even longer to unload it - my son, daughter and I had to help or they would never have finished.

  Overall, they were totally unprofessional and not fit for the job. I WILL NEVER USE LA CAPITALE AGAIN, NEVER !
